KunstClash – Koppel/Mechlenburg and more
Musicians Benjamin Koppel and Jesper Mechlenburg are taking over The Royal Theatre with some of Denmark’s biggest musicians, singers, actors, dancers and thinkers.
KunstClash is called “Place de la Nation” and is about the Danes’ national feeling and relationship with our nation. Here the world famous flamenco dancer Selene Muñoz will challenge the Danish breakdancer Josephine Raahauge to a pasodoble – music is composed and perfomed by Anders Koppel and string quartet.
The rapper Per V sings a duet with opera soprano Inger Dam-Jensen and soul queen Marie Carmen Koppel. You can also experience actors Tammi Øst and Jens Jørn Spottag present texts about the nation written by poets and writers Lone Hørslev, Christel Wiinblad, Dy Plambeck, Søren Ulrik Thomsen and Iselin C. Hermann.
Poetry slammers Lasse Thorning and Thorkil Jacobsen will be the glue that holds it all together. They will “poetry slam” about the condition of the nation and the national feelings of the Danes.
As an audience you won’t be able to hide in your chair. You will be contributing with cues for the rapper Per V and DJ Noize. They will use these cues to create a rap about being Danish.
